  CP-1292Patriotic ABC plate depicting General Halleck ~ Henry Wager Halleck (Made for the Am4rican Export).

Early in American Civil War, he was a senior Union Army commander in the Western Theater and then served for almost two years as general-in-chief of all U.S. armies. Halleck became chief of staff to Lt. General Ulysses S. Grant.  English c. 1880.

  CP-1300The Arrival of General McClellan; an ABC embossed plate for the American market at the time he was major general of the Union Army.  He later served as the 24th Governor of New Jersey. English, Late 19th  Century.
